India’s childhood cancer survival rate reaches 94.5%

India's first national Childhood Cancer Survivorship Program, published in The Lancet Regional Health-Southeast Asia, analyzed over 5,400 children across 20 centres. The five-year overall survival rate reached 94.5%, with 92% in remission by December 2024. Experts now stress improving long-term quality of life beyond survival.
