India's Essar Group to build 'largest steel plant in US history'

US President Donald Trump on Monday announced that a subsidiary of India's Essar Group will build the "largest steel plant in American history" with an $18 billion investment. The facility would have the capacity to produce up to 10 million tonnes of steel annually, Trump said. It is expected to create nearly 2,000 permanent manufacturing and mining jobs.
