India's forex reserves drop by $1.877 billion to $686.227 billion

India's foreign exchange reserves fell by $1.877 billion to $686.227 billion in the week ending 28 November, according to the RBI. Foreign currency assets declined sharply, though gold reserves rose amid global uncertainty. SDRs and India's IMF reserve position also increased. Despite recent drops, forex reserves have risen by about $48 billion so far in 2025.
