India's fuel consumption fell by 6.5% in May to 19.93 million tonnes from 21.3 million tonnes in the same period last year, government data showed. However, fuel consumption rose from 19.47 million metric tonnes in April. The data also showed that LPG consumption declined by 20.5% to 2.13 million tonnes in May from 2.68 million tonnes in May 2025.
