The Supreme Court slammed an Indian pharmaceutical firm, Marion Biotech, after its cough syrup, Dok-1 Max, was allegedly linked to the death of children in Uzbekistan. "Do you realise what dent it has caused to the country's image?" the bench said. Though the initial death toll was reported to be 18 in 2022, it later increased to 68 in 2024.
