India’s industrial output growth hit a five-month low of 4.1% YoY in March 2026, reducing from 5.1% in February, as per the latest Index of Industrial Production. Manufacturing, carrying the highest weight in the index, grew 4.3% in March, down from 5.9% in February. Electricity output growth fell to 0.8%, while mining improved to 5.5% from 3.1% a month earlier.
