India’s Steel Vision 2047 targets 604 MT capacity

India’s draft Steel Policy Vision 2047 aims to raise crude steel capacity to 604 million tonnes, with production at 531 million tonnes and finished steel consumption at 505 million tonnes. The roadmap also targets lower carbon intensity, stronger raw material security, higher exports and greater focus on specialty steel.
