India’s strategy to tackle NCDs focus on early detection and care

Union Health Minister JP Nadda said the government has adopted a multi-pronged strategy to tackle Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), which cause nearly 60% of deaths in India. He highlighted major progress in screening, early diagnosis, Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, and cancer care centres to strengthen preventive and comprehensive healthcare.
