Demand for sugar and edible oils in India is declining as commercial gas cylinder shortage has forced restaurants to scale back operations, Reuters reported. India's edible oil imports fell nearly 9% in March from the previous ​month, an official from Solvent Extractors' Association of India (SEA) said.
