India's WPI inflation rises to 9.92% in August

India's wholesale inflation rose to 9.92% in August from 9.78% in July, driven by fuel and power inflation surging to 22.93%. Mineral-oil and crude petroleum prices also accelerated sharply. Wholesale inflation has remained near double digits for four consecutive months, as per Commerce Ministry data.
