India screens 8.6 crore women for cervical cancer: JP Nadda

Union Health Minister JP Nadda reaffirmed India's commitment to eliminating cervical cancer as a public health problem during a WHO briefing. Under the NP-NCD programme, over 8.6 crore women have been screened. India has also launched a nationwide HPV vaccination drive targeting 1.2 crore adolescent girls to strengthen prevention and early detection efforts.
