India is seeking a $900-million (over ₹8,400-crore) steel quota under the free trade agreement (FTA) signed with UK in 2025, The Indian Express reported. This comes as the Indian steel industry said that quotas set to begin from July would limit current levels of Indian steel exports despite the FTA. India reportedly might curb Scotch whisky as a retaliatory measure.
