India sends Bailey bridge parts to flood-hit Nepal

India handed over the first consignment of components for a 70-metre Bailey bridge to Nepal's Road Division in Hetauda on Saturday. Intended for Betrawati in Nuwakot district, the bridge will restore connectivity disrupted by the Bhote Koshi-Trishuli flash floods in August, which killed over 1,300 people and destroyed dozens of bridges.
