India has not joined the US-led Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity's (IPEF) 'trade pillar'. US Trade Representative Katherine Tai said, "I wouldn't characterise it as opting out, India isn't in...trade pillar right now." She added India and US have their bilateral and trade policy forum. However, India will join the three other pillars–supply chain, clean economy and fair economy.
