India Slashes Poverty by over half in last 9 years

According to a report by NITI Aayog, India has lifted 24.82 crore individuals out of multidimensional poverty since 2013-14, highest of all nations in the world. The poverty headcount has gone down from 29.17% in 2013-14 to 11.28% in 2022-23. The map by iipmaps.com shows only three states Bihar, Meghalaya, and Jharkhand have poverty above 20%.
