The DRDO and Indian Navy successfully tested the NASM-SR at the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur, Odisha. The missile, with a range of over 50 km, uses sea-skimming mode and an Imaging Infra-Red Seeker for accuracy. It features advanced navigation, solid propulsion, and real-time retargeting, aiming to replace a foreign-origin missile on Seaking helicopters.
