India supports Canada's amendment on UN resolution condemning Hamas

While India didn't vote in the United Nations General Assembly on a resolution seeking a humanitarian truce amid the Israel-Hamas war, it supported an amendment proposed by Canada seeking an explicit condemnation of Hamas for the October 7 attack. The amendment failed to pass as it didn't get a two-thirds majority. Besides India, UK and US also supported the amendment.
