All five Indian students secured gold medals at the 56th International Physics Olympiad 2026 in Colombia. Moreover, India secured world rank 1, shared jointly with China, Kazakhstan, Russia, South Korea, and Taiwan. The five students are: Kanishk Jain, Riddhesh Anant Bendale, Rishit Garg, Shresth Suraiya and Svarit Joshi. This is the 27th time India has participated in the competition.
