India to give $500,000 to UN's counter-terrorism fund this year

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, while addressing the UN Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee meet on Saturday, announced that India will be making a "voluntary" contribution of $500,000 to the UN Trust Fund for Counter-Terrorism this year. He added that the contribution will aid the UN Office of Counter-Terrorism's efforts in "providing capacity-building support to member states".
