As per a study by the Pew Research Center (US), by 2050 India will surpass Indonesia to have the largest Muslim population in the world. However, India will retain a Hindu majority. Furthermore, in Europe, Muslims would nearly double their numbers to more than 10% by 2050. The study added that Muslims will outnumber Christians worldwide by 2070.
