With over 30 crore Muslims, India will have the world's largest Muslim population by 2050, according to a report by US-based Pew Research Center. However, India will remain a Hindu-majority country, the report added. Islam is currently the fastest-growing major religion in the world and the Muslim population is projected to increase faster than the world population.
