India is set to begin domestic production of General Electric's F414 jet engines this year, stated Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh. Advanced negotiations with GE Aerospace for technology transfer are nearing completion. These engines are crucial for the indigenous Tejas Mk2 and AMCA fighter jets, manufactured under a $1 billion GE-HAL deal, enhancing India's aerospace capabilities.
