With no new reported Polio cases in the country for the past five years, the government on Saturday announced its plan to switch to bivalent Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) from the existing trivalent OPV. Union Health Minister JP Nadda said that the switch will be made in a "globally synchronized manner" in "some months".
