India's Defence Ministry has recommended collaborating with France's Safran to co-develop a 120 kN fighter jet engine. Valued at ₹61,000 crore, the project will power the future Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA). This move, which includes complete technology transfer, is a significant step towards achieving self-reliance in critical aerospace and defence manufacturing.
