India is one of the most targeted countries in the Asia-Pacific region for ransomware attacks this year, according to Cyble's APAC Cyber Threat Landscape Report 2025. The report stated that the region saw 456 ransomware attacks and 1,586 data breaches. In October 2025, grocery retail chains in India suffered a breach exposing 6,00,000 customer and 1,000 employee records.
