India trumps US as it cuts export dependence after Trump's tariffs, focuses on trade in Asia

India's export market trumped Donald Trump's reciprocal tariffs on India by reducing its dependence on US, Elara Securities' report said. The market focused instead on geographical diversification across West Asia, Asia and other select emerging markets. Share of US in India's exports slipped from 22.5% pre-tariff to 17.8% post-tariff, shifting the share towards UAE, China, Saudi Arabia and Spain.
