India turns to new oil suppliers after Hormuz disruption

As tensions in West Asia disrupted flows through the Strait of Hormuz, India increased crude purchases from Russia, Venezuela and Canada, according to Sparta analyst June Goh. She said India’s refineries can process a wider range of crude grades than many Asian peers. Analysts added that low global inventories could keep fuel prices elevated for months.
