Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman welcomed the recently concluded India and UK Free Trade Agreement [FTA]. "This agreement will mean greater market access to Indian exporters. Industries and innovation can flourish," she said. "FTA ushers a new era in trade between the two countries," she added. The agreement is expected to boost bilateral trade by ₹2.8-lakh crore/year from 2040.
