India urges fair PABS system under WHO Pandemic Agreement

India has called for a fair Pathogen Access and Benefit Sharing (PABS) system under the WHO Pandemic Agreement, with Health Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava stressing that countries sharing pathogens must get timely access to vaccines, diagnostics and treatments. She also highlighted stronger health systems, digital infrastructure and global pandemic preparedness.
