Infosys ex-CFO Mohandas Pai said India is "way behind" on AI and needs a new government-backed AI initiative. "We need an annual ₹50,000 crore fund for deep tech and AI [and] a ₹2,00,000 crore ELGS Guarantee Fund to build Hyper cloud, hardware and chips," he stated. His remarks come after US restricted access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models.
