India win 8-goal thriller against Pakistan, knock them out of Hockey World Cup

India defeated Pakistan 5-3 in an eight-goal thriller in Men's Hockey World Cup 2026 in Amstelveen on Wednesday, sealing their place in the second round. The victory took India to six points from three Pool D matches and knocked Pakistan out of title race. The victory also extended India’s unbeaten run against Pakistan to 20 matches.
