India-born 60-year-old Jay Chaudhry, who once lived in a Himalayan village, has become a billionaire and his US-based cloud-based information security firm Zscaler is now worth almost $6 billion. Chaudhry and his family benefit from their stakes in Zscaler. Founded in 2008 by Jay, Zscaler raised funds from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Google Capital and others, and went public last year.
