Fugitive Mehul Choksi told a UK court that Indian agents kidnapped him in 2021 to extort false confession that he, along with political opposition, was behind the ₹12,700-crore PNB fraud. He claimed he was "beaten...tasered to the face, blind-folded...gagged" and threatened that his family would be killed if he didn't return to India. Choksi's account based on speculations, India said.
