With a total population of 3.34 million, Indian-Americans have emerged as the third largest Asian community in the United States, after China (4.1 mn) and Philippines(3.59 mn), a report said. Among the Indian-American population, Hindus (51%) are in majority. The Indian-American population shot up 76% in the first 12 years of the 21st century, the report added.
