The Indian Army had reportedly carried out a surgical strike across the LoC in 2011 under ‘Operation Ginger’ to avenge the attack on an Army camp in Kupwara. The Army had attacked three posts of the Pakistani Army and brought back heads of three Pakistani soldiers. Furthermore, at least 13 Pakistani soldiers were killed in the strike, reports stated.
