The IAF successfully executed an emergency mission to aid an Indian Army Jawan who sustained a critical injury. The hand of jawan was severed during machinery operation at a forward area unit. With a narrow window of 6 to 8 hours available for the reattachment surgery, the IAF promptly deployed a C-130J aircraft to transport Jawan to the R&R Hospital.
