Indian Army rescues highly endangered Pangolin at Indo-Pak border

Indian Army troops rescued a Pangolin, a highly endangered species, along the Indo-Pakistan international border in Akhnoor district of Jammu and Kashmir. The animal was spotted during routine patrolling in a forward area and was later handed over to wildlife and forest authorities to ensure its safe rehabilitation. It also faces threat of illegal wildlife trafficking.
