The Chinese Foreign Ministry said Indian and Chinese troops were disengaging in eastern Ladakh along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in an "orderly" manner. Following a key agreement between India and China, the two countries began troop disengagement at Demchok and Depsang Plains in eastern Ladakh on October 2. The two countries had engaged in Galwan clashes in 2020.
