The Indian Coast Guard on Saturday intercepted a suspicious foreign vessel within India’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) off the Gujarat coast. The vessel, carrying an Iranian crew, was found transporting smuggled foreign-brand cigarettes worth an estimated ₹2.5-5 crore. The vessel and its crew have been taken into custody for detailed questioning.
