One of India’s foremost Jazz pianists, Madhav Chari, passed away at the age of 48 on Friday night due to a cardiac arrest. Chari was a mathematician and had pursued a PhD in the subject from the University of Illinois in Chicago. He had performed across the world, solo and with other jazz musicians.
