15 elite Indian train drivers are undergoing intensive 13-month training in Japan to become the first pilots of India's Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed Shinkansen service. The program emphasises precision, safety culture, advanced simulation, meticulous timing and crisis response on active Shinkansen lines at speeds up to 320 km/h, aiming to bring Indians to the standards of Japanese bullet drivers.
