Each member of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha is entitled to receive a salary of ₹50,000 per month during the whole term of office. Further, MPs are entitled to have three telephone lines and 1,50,000 free calls every year. Other perks enjoyed by the MPs comprise travel allowances including ₹16 per km travelled by road, among others.
