The Oil Ministry has reportedly agreed to re-designate the top position at Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) to chairman and managing director from just chairman. Reportedly, the India's largest oil company has long been demanding for such a change to bring it on par with other large public sector and private firms. It has never had a managing director or CEO.
