Indian Oil to invest ₹13,700 cr to boost Barauni refinery's capacity by 50%

Indian Oil has said that it will invest ₹13,779 crores to expand the capacity of its Barauni refinery in Bihar by 50% to 180,000 barrels/day by April 2023. The company is raising its processing capacity in order to meet India's growing demand for petroleum products. The country's refined fuel consumption jumped 2.6% in the October-December period from the previous year.
