Indian-origin man drives stolen car over police vehicles in Canada

A 25-year-old Indian-origin man, Ramanpreet Singh, was arrested in Canada's Mississauga after attempting to escape police and driving over their vehicles in a stolen car. A video of the incident showed police vehicles surrounding his car, following which he tried to escape by driving over the vehicles but failed. Singh suffered minor injuries.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new Pamban Bridge in Tamil Nadu on Sunday, marking the opening of India's first vertical lift railway sea bridge. The 2.07-kilometre-long bridge spans the Palk Strait. The 72.5-meter navigational span can be lifted up to 17 meters, allowing larger ships to pass underneath. The new bridge is 3 meters higher than the existing one.

The 2.07-kilometre-long bridge's 72.5-metre navigational span can be lifted up to 17 metres, allowing larger ships to pass underneath. Its special polysiloxane coating ensures longevity in harsh marine environment.

Canadian Parliament under lockdown as man barricades himself inside

A warning has been issued for anyone in East Block to seek shelter in the nearest room, close and lock all doors, and hide. Anyone who was not in the immediate area was warned to stay away.
