Indian-origin student dies after car plunges off cliff into ocean in US

An Indian-origin student at the University of California, Alli Renee Singh, died after the car she was travelling in plunged off a cliff into the Pacific Ocean near Steamer Lane along California’s Santa Cruz coastline. The 19-year-old was trapped inside the vehicle, which was submerged upside down in the water. The male driver escaped with minor injuries, authorities said.
