Indian para swimmer Shams Aalam deported from Japan for allegedly sexually harassing hotel employee

Indian para swimmer Shams Aalam has been sent back from Japan after Japanese police detained him over allegations of sexually harassing a female hotel employee during the Asian Para Games. The alleged incident occurred on Monday and Shaikh was sent back to India on Tuesday without competing. The Paralympic Committee of India is reportedly considering a lifetime ban on Shaikh.
