Indian Railways has started large-scale deployment of Kavach 4.0, an advanced Automatic Train Protection system, on the Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Howrah corridors. Over 738 route kms are already commissioned, with 15,512 km under implementation nationwide. Approved by RDSO and meeting SIL-4 safety standards, Kavach 4.0 aims to significantly reduce accidents through automated intervention.
