Railways Ministry has said the overall revenue of Indian Railways at the end of August 2022 was ₹95,486.58 crore. This is over 38% or ₹26,271.29 crore as compared to the corresponding period of last year, an official statement said. Further, the revenue from passenger traffic increased 116% year-on-year to ₹25,276.54 crore. Passenger traffic has also increased compared to last year.
