Indian refiners resume buying Russian oil as discount rises amid tariff threat: Report

India's state-run refiners Bharat Petroleum and Indian Oil resumed purchase of Russian oil as discounts on the crude widened to about $3/barrel, Reuters reported, citing company officials. The refiners have reportedly bought oil for September and October delivery. US President Donald Trump has threatened to levy additional 25% tariff on India from August 27, as 'punishment' for buying Russian oil.
